Relevant Tradition

upon the rock of
autumn, stone-foundation,
hard-knocks of a door
unmentioned, until
ripened by orange-wind and
leaf-fallen-torn, finally
earthly in ripping summer’s guise,
new shade of days oblong
ascends across horizontal-pastures of
neighboring lawns, times have
turned again, and now, fallen
shadows may dance in their secretive
mirrors, provided
each carries messages pertinent to our
lives
